Why This Exists

The information is out there. It's just scattered.

Fibroids are incredibly common, yet answers come in pieces: a rushed appointment here, a confusing study there, a forum thread at 2 a.m. It's hard to make a confident choice that way.

The Fibroid Files pulls it together. Every topic is organized so you can find what you need, understand it, and bring it to the people making decisions with you.

Your body. Your timeline. Your decision, made with the full picture.
The Files

Three files. One goal: a decision that's truly yours.

File 01

Patient Education

What fibroids are, how they're found, and what the research actually says, translated from journal language into plain English.

File 03

Patient Experiences

Statistics show what's common. Stories show what it actually feels like. Both belong in an informed decision.

Share Your Story →
    Inside this file
  • a.Real stories, shared with permission
  • b.What recovery really looks like
  • c.Life after treatment
  • d.What people wish they'd known sooner
Before You Buy

Before you buy that product, ask yourself…

Teas, supplements, detoxes, and "natural" fixes are marketed hard to people with fibroids. There's currently no known cure that keeps the uterus, so any product promising one deserves a closer look.

Ask Yourself 01

Does it promise to shrink, dissolve, or cure my fibroids?

Ask Yourself 02

Is there research in actual people, or just testimonials?

Ask Yourself 03

Who's selling it, and what do they gain if I buy?

Ask Yourself 04

Have I asked my provider how it fits with my care?

Who's Behind the Files

Who's Jessica Thomas, MPH?

I'm a public health professional, a healthcare writer, and a fibroid patient. I've worked inside hospitals improving patient safety, and I've navigated fibroids myself.

That mix is why The Fibroid Files exists. I know how the system works, how to read the research, and what it feels like to be the one making the decision.
